The clean, friendly atmosphere matches the great location of this hotel. All staff are very helpful and willing to deal with any request. A kilometer of waterway makes walking and cycling easy. Minutes from the Amtrak station, making it easy for friends from afar. The views of the Christina River make you feel close to nature (the birds will love watching the herons eat their fish regularly), while still being within walking distance of the many restaurants and other activities. If you can, pay the extra for the river view!

Once upon a time, the name Sheraton meant luxury. Not so much these days, it's just one of many and often unrecognizable Marriott brands. I will say my room - actually a suite - was large and comfortable. But there is only one barbed wire chair to sit at the desk. small towel. The bedside light in the bathroom was too bright to turn off. more. Generally comfortable, with refrigerator and microwave. However, when you leave the room, everything falls apart. One elevator had a burnt out display so couldn't tell where you were, which was compounded when it refused to stop at any floor and I was stuck on it for 15 minutes. When I called 911, he called 15 times before anyone answered and said he was only doing it "because they were passing by". The hotel seems to be understaffed. The lobby is a faded reminder of the buzzing times. The revolving doors are so slow you could die of old age inside. The decor needs a facelift. It appears to be a bit faded and frayed around the edges...

I am a frequent guest of Marriott hotels. In a typical year, I stay over 60 nights at Marriott properties. My visit to the Residence Inn in Downtown Wilmington (Delaware) was probably the most unfortunate I've had at a Marriott in many years. The condition of our room was a combination of shabby and dirty. It was obvious that the cleaning staff did not vacuum, sweep or vacuum. They just changed the sheets and towels. We also couldn't shower because the drain was blocked and the shower was overflowing. We called the front desk multiple times to try and get housekeeping to come to our room, but no one answered the phone. Turns out my wife went to the reception and there was no one there and the other guests were wondering where the receptionist was. After 15 or 20 minutes, she showed up and explained that I couldn't clean until tomorrow morning, or repairs until after 6pm tomorrow (it's Sunday). We had already unpacked and were dead tired from the 12 hour trip, we asked her if we could use another shower so we could rest the whole day, but she said no as she wasn't sure if it would be possible for us Do. In the end we decided to go to the pharmacy and buy some cleaning supplies to get the "dirt" out of the room, guess we won't be able to shower until tomorrow afternoon. Sorry, receptionist. In the end, she was thrown in a poorly organized hotel with no way to help her guests. I'm not sure how often Marriott inspects their properties, but I would venture a guess that they haven't been in Wilmington for a while.

Aside from being a bit pricey, this is a very nice hotel. The facilities are complete, the front desk service is also good, the breakfast is a bit simple, but you can eat it in the restaurant next door, and the transportation is very convenient.

We stayed here for 3 nights for a wedding at the Chase Center. We have stayed at many Westins before but this stay clearly showed us that Westin standards have gone downhill. We requested an early check in via the app and called the front desk, but we had to wait a long time to check in after being told the room hadn't been checked. When we finally got our room we were disappointed to see the used and abused furniture, especially the table which had a lot of marks on it. We had drainage issues in our shower, which we fixed first, but persisted throughout our stay. No shower gel in the shower pipe, barely any shampoo and conditioner. None of the bins were lined (how unhygienic!). Cleaning was a pain; others at our wedding were told that cleaning, including changing sheets, was only done every 3 days (previously only the resort informed me of this). I had to hail people in the towel hall. We booked a couple of suites for our wedding reception and it was disappointing to see that the rooms in the suites looked run down and dark especially the long overdue furniture with stains and lint everywhere. What really struck me during this stay was the night after all the events at the wedding came to light, we tried to use the elevator to get back to our room only to hear the people trapped inside banging on the elevator door for 10 minutes. I Signaled the front desk guy to come over and help and he dismissed me easily saying "it's due to stress and he'll be back on his floor soon". As a doctor, I told him it was urgent because we didn't know how many people were trapped, God bless someone passed out from a panic attack. I told him the elevator must be broken when it stopped like that. He didn't care and left directly. Turns out my family was stuck there for over 10 minutes. I found the hotel staff to be sloppy - I'm sure you'll face lawsuits when the elevators take an extended break again. Also learned that there is no service elevator for the staff to use, so the main passenger elevator is also used, increasing the elevator passenger flow. Plus, the location is within the bounds of an unfinished community. You definitely need a car to get around. The only good thing about this place is the convenience of being connected to the Chase Center; other than that, the hotel definitely did not exude the Westin quality I know and love.

My wife and I stayed here for a week on business. At first, we got a problematic room, but management listened, moved us to the other side of the building and adjusted the price. The room was clean, no bugs, and the bed was comfortable. A/C worked well (very important in Delaware summers) Not the best place, but great price. Again - management gets top marks for responsiveness and helpfulness! We would definitely stay here again if we were in Wilmington for business.

It's very simple, but milk and bread are still available and can be eaten. Parking is very practical, there are enough parking spaces, 16 knives a day. The room is quite big, and the position of the three large boxes on the ground does not affect the normal movement in the room. There is no need for an extra bed. We booked a double bed room. The family of three is very big and very relaxing. Especially the hotel service is very good, very warm. We arrived in the middle of the night, showed the booking process and let us check in early.
